Something a prof said some days back that I felt, many people and scientists have forgotten.
We can never ever prove something true. All science do is to state with high certainty that something is false. Note: it's not with certainty ever. It's just "based on evidence so far, we can conclude this is highly likely to be false". And 2nd note: it's not stating with certainty that something is true, but that something is NOT true.
Thus, not having evidence to discount your theories/whatever does not mean they're true. Just that they are not/have not been proven contradictory, at this point in time.
